FAQs

We are 100% outdoors! Children continue outdoor adventures in almost all weather. We create cozy sheltered spaces using tarps so kids can stay dry while still exploring. Families are supported to dress children in layers and rain gear.

In rare cases of severe storms or unsafe conditions, families are contacted immediately with a clear plan or cancellation. We also have access to indoor space as an emergency backup only if the group is already in the field.

At Roots 2 Rise, we aim to support as many children as can safely thrive in our outdoor programs. If your child may benefit from additional guidance or accommodations, please complete our Additional Needs Form. This helps our team understand your child’s strengths and needs and plan appropriate support. Families are also welcome to bring a familiar 1:1 support person. Once the form is submitted, we’ll follow up with a short conversation to ensure your child has the best possible experience.
